NTDigital

better customers

Due to a recent visit to the promised land of technology, Sillicon Valley and assist to several events related to the world of startups, we couldn’t help noticing something very interesting. More and more business owners are taking interest in taking their companies into the digital world and, while that feels as a very positive change, a fundamental question rises from the premises. How can you take a totally functional business model and make it successful in the web? Then an even a more important discussion starts to open.

You see, a lot of companies fall into believing that just because they have a good performance in the real world, or that if they have a good product that sales by itself, by the time they migrate to digital, they will do just as well and sadly, that is hardly the case. Why? Because we don’t communicate the same way on the internet, and certainly we don’t perform the same way while we are on it. But this doesn’t have to be a limiting point for you to grow on the web. Just consider the following advice.

If you are indeed trying to build an internet company, you will have to do it differently than you were used to. Pay attention to details and establish 1:1 interactions, not just to with your clients, but with the people that’s near your clients who might be interested in sharing your message. Engage in the conversation, because if you want to be successful, you will certainly need to play a very important role in the communication process with your clients, your employees, the community you are speaking to and pretty much everyone involved, so make sure you pinpoint your audience and study very carefully the ground your are stepping in.

Only the companies who understand the importance of engineering a great system are the ones who can make it online.
